CAT SYA promotes projects where women play a prominent role.

Our program seeks to promote their economic autonomy, enhancing women’s dignity in an environment where they are not considered equal in rights.

We believe that the existing inequality between men and women is one of the main impediments to the eradication of poverty.

The program allows women to access a source of their own financing thanks to training in trades and the subsequent creation of a small business to market their products. This action is often accompanied by the granting of a line of microcredits where they are the beneficiaries.

In Burkina Faso, the illiteracy rate is one of the highest in the world (around 70%), and it mainly affects older women (over 25). In 2018, 87.4% did not have any level of education in 2018.
